In June 2024, I performed Hachijo-daiko, the island’s traditional drumming art, at the Hachijojima Performing Arts Festival. There are many taiko groups on the island, but I belonged to “Kodama-kai” and kept playing taiko for two years. In October 2024, I also took part in an event called the “24-Hour Hachijo-daiko Challenge.”
